Marco Cáceres is the cofounder of projecthonduras.com and the director of the Conference on Honduras series.
The projecthonduras.com network consists of more than 6,000 people worldwide and hundreds of non-governmental organizations, universities, companies, churches, and agencies. The annual conference which is now permanently based in Copán Ruinas, Honduras, attracts more than 250 representatives from over 110 groups. Nine conferences have been held since 2000, and a tenth is scheduled for September 24-26, 2009.
Marco undertakes projecthonduras.com and the Conference on Honduras as volunteer projects to help Honduras and create an alternative model of development for poor countries in general... one that is weighted more toward attracting "human capital" rather than financial.
