Thank you for agreeing to speak at the 11th annual Conference on Honduras
in Copan Ruinas during
October 6-8, 2011. The Conference will consist of 6-8 panels of speakers, grouped according to type of
project. The conference program, which will focus on developing working relationships and partnerships in the areas of education, healthcare and community building, will be finalized by October 1,
2011. Each speaker will be allocated 15 minutes. When all the speakers on a particular panel complete their presentations, there will be a 20-minute question and answer period for audience-speaker interaction. As a courtesy to other speakers and to keep the conference running on schedule, we strongly encourage you to time your presentation beforehand so you stay within your time allowance. We encourage you to use audiovisuals to enhance your presentation. Speakers at past conferences have presented in Power Point. We will have a computer and an LCD projector available. We will have simultaneous translation services for each presentation. The main thing is to come prepared to tell your story in a clear and concise manner. We have opted against the use of videos, mainly because we would prefer speakers to engage the audience
directly.
The goal of the presentations is to inform, inspire and to generate creative thinking about ways to help Honduras through grassroots projects aimed at empowering the Honduran people. Please use this format as a guideline for your presentation. All speakers should try to e-mail a copy of their presentation to Marco at hondopost@yahoo.com by October 1, 2011.
